Highland tour - Landmannalaugar or Kerlingafjöll
Each tour is done in one day and these tours are usually longer than other tours, also just done in the summer when the roads are open.
Remarkably colorful mountains encircle the valley of Landmannalaugar. The rich colors of the slopes strike an outstanding contrast with the glittering obsidian lava fields. Craters, lakes, contrast with mossy green mountains and black desert sand makes the highland photographers dream.
Kerlingarfjöll is a 1,477 m (4,846 ft) tall mountain range situated near the Kjölur highland road. They are part of a large tuya volcano system of 100 km2 (39 sq mi). The volcanic origin of these mountains is evidenced by the numerous hot springs and rivulets in the area, as well as red volcanic thyolite stone of which the mountains are composed. Minerals that have emerged from the hot springs also color the ground yellow, red and green. The walking paths, steam, rivers and the colours gives the area epic pictures.
Places to visit: Craters like; Redbowl, Hnausapollur, Ugly puddle, Landmannalaugar, Brennisteinsalda, Bláhnúkur, Kýlingavatn. In Kerlingafjöll we are mostly in the valley Hveradalur.

The lake has grown since then at varying rates because of melting of the glaciers. It is now 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) away from the ocean’s edge and covers an area of about 18 km2 (6.9 sq mi). It recently became the deepest lake in Iceland, at over 248 metres (814 ft), as glacial retreat extended its boundaries. West fjords – Multi day photo tour
The Westfjords is a large peninsula in northwestern Iceland and an administrative district. It lies on the Denmark Strait, facing the east coast of Greenland. It is connected to the rest of Iceland by a 7-km-wide isthmus between Gilsfjörður and Bitrufjörður. The Westfjords are very mountainous; the coastline is heavily indented by dozens of fjords surrounded by steep hills. These indentations make roads very circuitous and communications by land difficult. In addition many of the roads are closed by ice and snow for several months of the year.
The cliffs at Látrabjarg comprise the longest bird cliff in the northern Atlantic Ocean and are at the westernmost point in Iceland. The Drangajökull glacier is located in the north of the peninsula and is the fifth-largest of the country, but the only glacier of the region.
The Westfjords is a great place for few days photo tour, a lot to discover there on West fjords – Multi day photo tour.

What are the Northern Lights?
The mesmeric lights are formed from fast-moving, electrically charged particles that emanate from the sun. These are driven towards the Poles by the Earth’s magnetic field and their varying colours are a result of the different gases in the upper atmosphere. In the northern hemisphere, they are known as the aurora borealis and hang above the planet in an oval-shaped halo. The lights also have their southern counterpart above Antarctica, the aurora Australis, but the principal audience for this is penguins. The different colours are due to different molecules, oxygen forms the most common one, yellow/green and nitrogen produces blue/purple-red for instance.
